Millennials with Matt Episode 2: Motivating Millennials with C.A.M.P.

We talk about intrinsic/extrinsic motivators, some dead sociologist guy, using the acronym C.A.M.P. as a way to motivate employees in the workplace, and Matt gets to fire an air gun in this episode of "Millennials with Matt." For more information on Matt and his work with Millennials visit www.GrowingMillennialLeadership.com

In this episode of Millennials with Matt, Matt discusses the idea of extrinsic motivators on the job (those things external in our environment like pay increase, commission, new job title that might motivate us) vs. intrinsic motivators (those things that motivate us from within - feeling competent and smart, the ability to make decisions, and meaningfulness around what we're doing and contributing to).

With budgets so tight and little mobility in organizations to move right up the career later, C.A.M.P. (Competency, Autonomy, Meaningfulness, Progress) is a great way to add intrinsic motivators to an organization's culture and a Millennial's career.
